Ingredients:

  • 3 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 head of cabbage, cored and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika

Directions:

Place the bacon in a large pot and cook over medium-high until crispy (≈10 minutes). Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion caramelizes, stirring occasionally (≈10 minutes). Once the onion has caramelized, add in the cabbage, stir, and cook for 10 more minutes. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika. Reduce to low heat, cover, and simmer while stirring occasionally for 30 more minutes.
